Troubleshooting Roku Stick Not Working on TV

Roku streaming devices are a portal to enjoy internet platforms, including TV, button, and boxing. The Roku stick can not fit well at times, or may not respond at all.

At times, troubleshooting the system with more advanced behavior is crucial for bringing it back into existence. A situation occurs when you can believe the Roku stick is connected to your television but is not working.

Solution1: Check for Power Status

There are chances that you have connected your Roku stick but haven’t checked the power supply status. In other words, any problem with the power supply or connection can result in this situation.

To inspect and handle this, do the following:

  1. Check that the Roku Streaming Stick power light / LED is ON and blinking.
  2. If the LED isn’t lit; the power supply doesn’t get your stick.
  3. The power micro-USB is plugged into the power outlet and reinserted.
  4. Make sure that the power cable is well inserted into the Roku too.
  5. If all seems good; check the micro-USB port for any break/damage.
  6. Test also for any broken, twisted, or loose connection in the USB cable.

 


Solution2: Loose Display Connector

Another factor to inspect the display connector while managing the Roku Stick connection problem is. Do the following checks:

  1. Check the TV port connection to the Roku Streaming Stick. Make sure that it is properly connected to the HDMI port on Tv.
  2. Remove and fasten either side of the HDMI cord to ensure it is securely locked down.
  3. Inspects the input settings of the Screen too. The supporting HDMI port should be set to.
  4. Use T.V remote to test the “Input Method” currently set, and adjust it if necessary.

 


Solution3: T.V Remote Not Synced

Another problem for this case that counted guilty is the remote T.v. If Roku doesn’t synchronize your T.v remote correctly, then your streaming stick can not work on T.V. For remote, make the following checks:

  1. Check if the remote batteries are not dead.
  2. Check if the batteries inserted are corrosion.
  3. Ensure buttons on the remote are working well and not jammed.

Perhaps the remote connection to the device has been lost with time. If your remote has power, but the Roku streaming stick doesn’t respond, simply resync the remote with the Roku device.

 


Solution4: Reset Roku Stick

If nothing had worked for you out of the previous suggestions. The Roku streaming device will be reset. Like other digital devices; Soft reset and hard reset Roku stock may also be used.

Soft Reset Roku Stick

Assuming you can access the Roku menu on the t.v, do the following:

  1. In the main menu, go to “Settings” options.
  2. Select the “Advanced System Settings” option.
  3. Click on the “Factory Reset.”
  4. Enter the activation code on-screen.

To complete this phase Roku will provide you with a code. Additionally, it can ask to press some buttons. Follow the on-screen instructions to send Roku stick back within a short time to factory settings.


Hard Reset Roku Stick

Hard reset the Roku is the best tool for resetting the button, tube, or T.v. While hard reset is considered good as a strong hit in a highly problematic situation to take such a move.

Here is how to hard reset the Roku stick.

  1. Locate the “Reset Button” on the Roku device.
  2. Long press the “Reset Button.”
  3. Keep pressing until your device turns off.
  4. Hold pressing until the Roku logo appears on the screen again.
